Global Entry does everything PreCheck does, plus it speeds up re-entry into the U.S. through customs after international travel, using a quick kiosk or app instead of a long customs line.
If you only fly domestically, PreCheck alone covers you. If you travel internationally even occasionally, Global Entry is the better choice — it includes PreCheck benefits automatically.
Global Entry costs a bit more and the application takes a little longer to process (including an interview), so if an international trip is on the calendar, it’s worth applying early.
